A brand-new 2026 BMW M2 in deep black was delivered to Ixexotics in Cypress, TX with one goal: put the protection on before real-world miles started leaving their mark. Fresh paint never stays perfect on its own — black shows every swirl, every wash-induced haze, and every rock chip the moment it happens. The owner wanted the highest-impact surfaces armored against road debris and the entire paint surface corrected, deepened, and sealed for the long haul.

That meant a two-part program: full paint correction paired with a hand-applied Feynlab Ultra ceramic coating, and full front XPEL paint protection film on the front end — all backed by a no-fault PPF warranty. This is the kind of project where the value isn’t in any single service, but in how they work together: correction makes the paint flawless, the coating seals it, and film protects it from the road.

Preparation — Paint Correction & Paint Enhancement

Every coating is only as good as the surface beneath it, so this project started with what the 5 Year Gold Package does best: full paint correction and paint enhancement. This is an eight-to-ten-hour process, and it matters. The goal isn’t just shine — it’s a deep clean of the paint itself, systematically removing the swirls, scratches, and hazing that accumulate from factory handling, transport, and dealership washing.

With black paint, the prep is everything. Only once the surface was leveled and dead-clean did the project move to the protection phase.

Protection — Feynlab Ultra Ceramic Coating

With the paint corrected, our team hand-applied Feynlab Ultra ceramic coating panel by panel. After application, each coated surface is cured under an infrared heat lamp, which accelerates the bonding process — driving the coating into the paint more quickly and evenly. The result is a harder, more durable finish with improved chemical resistance and water-repellency, not just a temporary gloss.

For the owner, that translates into years of easier maintenance: contaminants struggle to bond, water beads and sheets off, and the black finish holds its freshly corrected depth. The package is designed for 4–5 years or more of protection, and it includes a check-up two weeks after delivery to confirm the coating has settled in exactly as it should.

Protection — Full Front Paint Protection Film

Up front, where rock chips and road debris do the most damage, we installed XPEL Ultimate Paint Protection Film across the entire front end. Coverage includes the full front bumper, hood, fenders, trim, headlights, and mirror caps — every body-color panel most exposed to impact.

A clean install takes more than laying film. Basic trim removal — handles, flares, trim, and emblems — allowed the film to sit properly behind the components, and edges were extended and wrapped wherever applicable for a seamless, durable finish. As with any professional PPF installation, there may be small exposed areas on high-tension surfaces where relief cuts or seams are necessary for long-term durability; that’s standard with quality film work, not a compromise.

The owner also chose our no-fault PPF warranty, which provides full replacement of the paint protection film on any single panel previously installed at Ixexotics — for any reason, damage or otherwise — with removal, replacement labor, and materials included, one time.

Final Result

The completed M2 is what black paint should look like: glass-smooth, deep, and mirror-reflective, with the film working invisibly on the surfaces that take the most abuse.
