A gray 2025 Ford F-150 Raptor rolled into Ixexotics in Cypress, TX for the kind of build that makes a statement every time the driver’s door opens. The Raptor is already the most aggressive truck Ford builds — but its towering stance, wide fender flares, and acres of flat bodywork make it one of the most exposed vehicles on the road for rock chips and debris, especially in Texas. The owner wanted more than protection; they wanted a look. The brief was comprehensive: cover the entire truck in XPEL Stealth paint protection film for a uniform matte appearance, coat the film for easy maintenance, tint every window with ceramic film, and customize the key visual components to color-match the body with a matte finish.

This was a full-vehicle transformation, not a front-end job — and it was planned that way from day one.

Full Vehicle XPEL Stealth Paint Protection Film

The centerpiece was our most complete install: the Full Vehicle Paint Protection Package in Stealth. XPEL Stealth film is the specialty product here — a paint protection film that delivers the distinctive satin, matte appearance while offering the same stone-chip and debris protection as standard clear film, all backed by a 10-year XPEL manufacturer warranty. Whether it’s maintaining a factory matte finish or converting gloss paint to matte, the result is the same: film that protects like armor and looks nothing like it.

Coverage ran through every painted surface of the truck: full front bumper, full hood, full fenders, mirror caps, headlights, and fog lamps (in clear where equipped), rocker panels, pillars, roof, doors, rear fenders, trunk area, and rear bumper. The roof. The pillars. The rear — surfaces most installations never touch. On a vehicle this size, a complete install is a serious undertaking, and this one carried the full schedule: a five-to-seven-day turnaround reflecting roughly 120 hours of panel work.

This project also received our deluxe installation treatment: full trim removal including handles, flares, trim, lights, and emblems, with custom extended and wrapped edges wherever applicable. The process: a decontamination wash to ensure the freshly applied film was absolutely clean, followed by application of the PPF/vinyl ceramic coating across the wrapped panels, finished with a full delivery detail. Note what this package deliberately does not include: no polish, no paint correction, no enhancement — because none was needed. The film is new; the goal was to seal it, protect it, and make it maintainable. The coating gives the matte surface a subtle slickness that makes dust and grime far less likely to bond, keeps washing easier, and extends the film’s clean appearance between details.

XPEL XR Plus Ceramic Window Tint

All side and rear glass received XPEL XR Plus premium nano-ceramic film at 20% front and 20% side/rear — the owner’s shade choice — rated for up to 98% heat rejection while blocking more than 99% of harmful UV rays. The windshield was tinted separately with XR Plus at a lighter 50% shade to cut solar load and glare without compromising forward visibility.

The Raptor’s cab is massive, and a Texas summer turns that much glass into a greenhouse. The ceramic film keeps the interior dramatically cooler, protects dash, leather, and trim from UV-driven fading, and the uniform 20% darkness ties into the truck’s aggressive, monochrome look. A 5% windshield brow finishes the glass treatment — a privacy strip across the top of the windshield, applied for visual purposes to complete the profile.

Matte Color-Matched Customization

Beyond film and tint, the build included a paint customization step that pulls the whole design together: the fender flares, front grille, and rear tailgate applique were color-matched to the vehicle and finished with a matte finish. On a Raptor, those are the defining visual features — the wide flares especially. Leaving them black plastic or gloss would break the flow of the matte build; matching them to the body in matte makes the truck read as one cohesive piece from every angle.

Final Result

The completed Raptor is a study in purposeful aggression: a full-size truck wrapped head-to-toe in satin-finish Stealth film, with every visual detail — flares, grille, tailgate — color-matched and matte to match.
