PPF Buyers Guide

At Ixexotics we understand getting the right protection for your vehicle is important. This quick guide will provide you with all the information you’ll need to choose the right coverage, and installer, for you.

PPF Basics

1 - What is PPF?

Paint Protection Film, (PPF) is a protective film installed over your vehicle’s paint to help defend against rock chips, road debris, bug splatter, scratches and light impact damage. You can apply it to as much, or as little of the vehicle as you like.

2 - Is PPF Worth It?

If you drive highways, commute daily, own a new vehicle, or simply want to keep your paint looking better for longer, PPF is one of the best ways to protect your finish from everyday wear, keep it looking new and preserving its value.

3 - What matters most when buying PPF?

The film matters, but the installation matters even more. Look for high-quality, self-healing film that’s stain resistant with a strong manufacturer-backed warranty. Just as important is expert prep, precise installation, and modified coverage design for the way you actually drive.

What's the warranty?

Each film manufacturer has their own warranty terms. Our XPEL paint protection film which has a 10 year warranty.

There are multiple options when it comes to PPF. Including standard clear, our matte finish called Stealth and even a variety of color options that offer the same level of protection you get with clear film.

While high-quality paint protection film (PPF) is designed to withstand various cleaning methods, frequent use of automatic car washes with harsh brushes can potentially damage the film over time. To ensure the longevity and effectiveness of PPF, it is recommended to use touchless car washes or hand washing techniques.

Most first-time buyers choose one of three options: Full Front protection for the most vulnerable front-end areas, our Track Pack for extended high-risk areas or full-body coverage for maximum protection and easiest long-term care. The right choice depends on your vehicle, driving habits, and expectations.

PPF is designed to absorb everyday abuse better than paint alone, but it is not bulletproof. It helps protect your finish and keep your vehicle looking newer, longer, but product quality and installer skill make a huge difference in how it looks and performs over time.

Cost for each service can vary greatly depending on the options selected, amount of coverage and types of installation. Fill out the form below to get a custom quote tailored to your vehicle and specific needs.
